Choosing the right splicer for your business can be complex, but who to trust to tackle your Telecoms, FTTx, and Data Centre splicing needs is not.

Sumitomo Electric Lightwave’s wide range of fusion splicers makes the decision easy.

Core Alignment Splicers:

Principally used in projects where high reliability, accuracy, and low splice losses are required, where old legacy and new fibres need to be spliced, or where fibres with variances in core geometry are present.

Sumitomo’s Type-72C+ High Def Core Aligning Splicer utilizes Nanotune technology for an enhanced splicing experience and reduces splicing loss overall.

Mass Fusion Splicers:

Cost effective and time efficient, mass fusion splicers (used for 1-12 count 200 and 250um pitch fibres) use fixed V-groove alignment technology to simultaneously splice ribbon fibres.

Use Sumitomo’s T72M12 Ribbon Splicer to adjust fibres on v-grooves, minimizing fibre offsets and deliver the lowest possible splice loss.

Clad Alignment Splicers:

For projects where splicer portability and affordable pricing are valued, these splicers utilize active clad single-axis alignment and are more commonly employed in FTTx applications.

Sumitomo’s latest Active Clad Alignment Splicer, the T-502S, utilizes Nanotune technology to easily splice fibres with high angle or damaged cleaves to achieve low splice loss and reduce rework.
