Networks Centre and Leviton Team Up to Deliver Bespoke Connectivity Solutions

In early 2023, Luton & Dunstable Hospital began a site-wide redevelopment to make necessary improvements to an integral pillar of many people’s lives in the area.
Networks Centre’s involvement on the project took place on the first new build of the development, in collaboration with GCIS. Having worked together previously, GCIS and Networks Centre have been established as a strong partnership, confident facing any challenge.
With flexible specifications, GCIS had the opportunity to push for their ideal product choice, Leviton, on the project. Due to a positive previous experience with both Leviton and Networks Centre, they were the preferred choice for sourcing Cat6A B2ca as well as cabinets and bespoke cable management from Prism DCS.
Retrieving 4.5-5k data points of Cat6A B2ca at the right times proved to be a challenge early on, however, strong communication throughout the supply chain fuelled the success of the delivery.
The project also required several cabinets with bespoke cable management features at short notice. With the help of Leviton’s newly acquired enclosures and cable management specialists, Prism DCS, Networks Centre were able to assist with the specifications and short lead time.
Leviton’s innovative sustainability advantages also influenced the decision to use their products with their unique initiatives that impact the entire supply chain. Leviton’s Cat6A cable is manufactured at their facilities in Glenrothes, local to Networks Centre’s offices in Glasgow, allowing the cable to be delivered quickly, directly through Networks Centre. Prism DCS manufacture their cabinets in Watford, local to Luton & Dunstable Hospital, just half an hour apart.
Networks Centre also assisted with a complete CCTV & Access control upgrade using Leviton products on another project on the existing site.
Providing regular communication throughout, Jesse, Sales Account Manager at Networks Centre, ensured there were no hold-ups with orders and all deliveries were on time. Thanks to the collaboration from all involved, the project is on track to be handed over on time in early 2025.
