Signed, Sealed, Delivered: It's Yours!

We take pride in our ordering process and always ensure to fulfil orders in the most efficient way possible.

Here is our step-by-step guide to how your order is processed.

Enquiry

This is either through email, direct with account manager or by calling the office and being directed to the right team.

Quotation

Sometimes this requires your dedicated account manager to liaise with our purchasing department to find the correct solution, and then reaching out to the supplier to obtain the price and lead time. This is so we can send your quote over with an expected lead time, and with any additional information requested such as spec sheets.

Sometimes this stage takes longer, especially if our team need to find out exactly what your requirements are to work out the best solution for you. Sometimes it’s a very short process if you’re enquiring about products that we hold in stock; it’s a matter of sending a quote straight over and waiting for your order to come through!

Order Placement

Depending on the customer’s account terms, this is the stage that the order is officially sent to us. Either with an official Purchase Order and reference number, or with confirmation and payment made to our accounts department.

As soon we have received your order this is loaded on to our system and you will receive an Order Acknowledgement containing the exact details of your order. At this stage, if anything is not spot on or changes need to be made, let us know as quickly as possible so we can sort it!

Processing

The length of this stage varies a little depending on the availability of your required products.

If the items are in stock:

Once your order has been sent to the relevant warehouse it will be picked.

Most orders are picked and shipped on the same day, but larger orders or orders with more preparation required will have a longer turnaround time. Orders that contain products with build components, cut cable, or cable that is required to be re-reeled on to alternative solutions will generally have a longer lead time. Once the order is completed it is Quality Checked by a different warehouse operative to ensure the correct items are shipping, and then packed up.

If the items are not in stock:

Once your order is on our system and we have sent your Order Acknowledgement, your order gets passed straight to our purchasing department who will place any back orders necessary and confirm the expected delivery date from our supplier. They act as liaison with the supplier, ensuring everything is on track and any products being manufactured are done to your exact specification. Your account manager will liaise with our purchasing department throughout the lead time, ensuring the orders are on track.

Your products will be delivered in to one of our warehouses, where the Goods In department will quality check everything that comes in and confirm quantity/colour/specifications are correct. They are then officially booked into our stock and your account manager is notified that the order is now fulfilled. Once your account manager has notification your order is ready, they will ask our Customer Service department to send the official pick request to the relevant warehouse.

Part-shipping:

If your order is partially fulfilled at any stage of the order processing and you wish to receive the goods that we have in stock in advance of the outstanding, we are happy to arrange this!

Shipping

Once your order is packed and ready to go it is collected by one of our couriers. Depending on the size of the order, we have daily UK parcel and pallet couriers who offer Next Day delivery services, and a regular international parcel courier. Larger or international shipments may require dedicated collections. In this case our customer services department will arrange this with one of our couriers.

Once your order is on the way it is tracked and monitored by our customer service department who liaise directly with our couriers. If you have provided us with a mobile number for the delivery contact, our UK parcel courier will send text updates.

The order is delivered to you successfully. Another happy customer!
