Meet The Team - Ewan Wotherspoon
Full Name:
Ewan Wotherspoon
How long have you been at Networks Centre?
Just over 1 year.
What made you want to join our team?
I was really impressed with the enthusiasm and passion when first meeting everyone along with the opportunity here in Scotland to build something from the ground up and be part if it from the beginning.
Tell us, what does a ‘normal’ day at work look like for you?
It’s hard to define any day as normal, the requirements and demands are so varied in this industry but the one consistent is the satisfaction in finding the right solution for the customer.
What is your favourite/most rewarding part of the job?
Overcoming a challenge, whether it’s helping a customer who thinks their job is going off track and I’ve been able to help get it back on course, or a colleague needs help finding the right solution. Being able to help someone resolve that never loses its satisfaction.
What 3 words best describe Networks Centre?
Service , Quality , People.
How do you ensure success for customers?
Engagement, discussing and understanding the customers requirements so that we can do everything in our control to provide the service they need.
How have you grown professionally while on our team?
I’ve developed a knowledge of several product sets which I’d never had experience of before, opening up new opportunities and connections.
What is the one accomplishment, at work, that you are most proud of? Why?
The growth of Networks Centre Scotland as a whole.
To have started from scratch and gained a still growing foothold within a Scottish market which had a long established supply chain shows that we have something valuable to offer, a service and product base that customers want and weren’t receiving.
What characteristics and skills do you value in team members?
Ingenuity, passion and enthusiasm.

Architect.

Our cat Gizmo. I’ve always had dogs and consider myself a dog person but since we got the little guy he’s totally won me over. We’ve also got fish and frogs but they don’t make for very good travelling pets.

Cakes and biscuits to share round, it always make everyone’s day better to see some cakes appear in the office.
